Graceful Perseverance: I Can Only Imagine!

Posted March 8th, 2015 @ 06:03pm

Welcome back, everyone! This week I am posting one of my favorite song’s lyrics, as nothing speaks more eloquently than the words in this song by Mercy Me..."I Can Only Imagine."ilustracion con cruz y fieles. Iglesia Cristiana.

"I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by your side, I can only imagine what my eyes will see when your face is before me, I can only imagine! Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you, Jesus, or in awe of you be still? Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing Hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine!

I can only imagine when the day comes, and I find myself standing in the Son, I can only imagine when all I will do is forever worship You, I can only imagine! I can only imagine!

I can only imagine when all I will do is forever, forever worship you!

How will any of us believers feel when we walk by His side? Imagine He's standing in front of you, how will you feel when His face, His glory is right in front of you? What overwhelming feelings will our hearts feel with the Holy Spirit so alive and in our presence? Will we dance, will we be so in awe that we will be unable to speak? Prayer at the CrossIs saluting appropriate as we stand in front of Him or do we fall to our knees in hopes for a better life? One can only imagine this day. Imagine when He returns to take His faithful children to the new Heaven. Revelation identifies who the faithful people are and what we should be doing until Christ returns. Imagine our pain and suffering vanishing. All hardships, trials and tribulations disappear forever. The trumpets will sound and we will hear His voice call out to His faithful people. He will touch us with an outstretched hand. Will we know when to grab hold and hang on for a new life in eternity with Him, the new Heaven, a place He has already prepared for us?

The day is drawing near for Christ's return. Christ came to earth as a "lamb," the symbol of His perfect sacrifice for our sin. Judgment DayHe will return as the triumphant "Lion," the rightful ruler and conqueror. He will defeat Satan. He will settle accounts with all those who reject Him, and bring his faithful people into eternity. Are you prepared for this day? Is there anything you or I can do until then to prepare for His return? He promises to go before us, the maker of Heaven and earth and all that is good in it.

A key verse in Revelation: "Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near." Revelation 1:3

Group of People Holding Cross and Praying in Back LitGod is a sovereign God. He is greater than any power in the universe. God is not to be compared to any other God, authority, leader or religious idol. There are no exceptions to His word. He controls history for the purpose of uniting true believers in loving fellowship with Him. Revelation clearly announces one day God will create a new heaven and a new earth. All believers will be taken up with Him and live with Him forever in perfect peace and security. Those who have already died will be raised to life. These are the promises that bring faithful believers hope.

Each of us can take our place in the ranks of God's faithful people by believing in Christ and drawing others near through fellowship. Victory belongs to those who resist temptation and make loyalty to Christ our top priority while we wait for His return. "I can only imagine when all I will do is forever, forever worship Him!"

angel in the skyThe angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place." Revelation 22:6

And the final word of Jesus,

"Yes, I am coming soon." Revelation 22:20

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people! Amen. Revelation 22:21

Until next week,

Debra M. Pauli
