Graceful Perseverance: Paint Your Life with New Colors! ( 2 of 3 week series)

Posted August 10th, 2014 @ 07:08pm

Welcome back everyone! Or maybe I should welcome myself back. I've been offline from blogging for three weeks. Life moves fast and furiously in my world. My computer was hit with several viruses, so it was with the "data doctors" for a week. I moved to a new place and started a new consulting gig, all in the same two weeks. Wow, just coming up for air now! So, my apologies for not being consistent in posting my blog during the past three weeks. But I'm back and excited to keep feeding my fans with inspirational, helpful and enlightening knowledge and wisdom through my blogs.

This week we pick up where we left off three weeks ago with my signature program - Paint Your Life with New Colors (shifting attitudes/shifting outcomes). This is a 3-prong program, a diamond in the rough to be discovered and practiced daily.

Perseverance is your "power within." It is just one of many "invisible forces" within. With perseverance, you will or can become a deliberate co-creator of your life. Passion is its partner. Passion is fueled by perseverance. Always keep your goals visible. One way you can do this is with a "vision board." Get yourself a cheap cork bulletin board at your local store. Pin up your dream home, your dream job, and your dreams, whatever they may be. Keep these dreams on your vision board where you can visually see them daily. And then set your goals to match your dreams, and you will help the universe bring to life your passions and your dreams, and with perseverance, you will pursue them.José Iván Bernardo Vázquez

Perseverance is putting yourself under surveillance so that you can set and meet not only your own standards, but that of others as well. (How about listing these)

1. Make perseverance your drug of choice.

2. Make sure you take your medication daily.

3. Always keep your goals in mind.

4. Don't allow yourself to get bogged down with the details.

5. See the value of what you are doing and anticipate the result.

Happy women dancingPerseverance has been my weapon after suffering from severe child abuse. It was my response to my 3rd son's death, and helped me beat the odds as I turned every hardship in my life from trauma into triumph. My experience testifies that when we tap into our God-given gift of perseverance, we are unstoppable, irresistible and successful in all areas of life.

Walter Eliot once said, Perseverance is not a long race: It is many short races, one after another! Napoleon Hill (1883-1970) said: The most interesting thing about a postage stamp is the persistence with which it sticks to its job! American Speaker and Motivational writer, Helen Keller once said: When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but we often look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

As I've mentioned before, when you go through my 3-prong program, it’s important to remember: Be ready at any moment to give up what "You Are" for what "You Might Become!"

My life has been a vivid example, a living testimony of right thinking (mindset) and determination (perseverance). Those qualities helped me endure the most adverse circumstances, and enabled me to reach my highest potential, despite seemingly insurmountable pivotal turns and changes in life. In my signature program, I discovered long ago there were three critical pieces, diamond prongs, to the process.

In the 3-prong diamond program, this week we covered the 2nd prong: Perseverance (Power Within). Next week we will cover the 3rd prong: Relationships (Forgiveness).

Until next week, God Bless!
