Graceful Perseverance: The Heart of Worship

Welcome back to this week’s blog! This week let’s chat about what it means when we talk about “the following of Jesus,” through the heart of worship. The heart of worship for me is when the world around me quietly fades away and the music is still playing in my head, and Jesus longs to bless me with his presence as His Holy Spirit enters the moment. Christ, heaven and hellWhat an amazing experience!

He brings more than the melody of a song to entice me so that I search much deeper within my heart where His love, hope and mercy reside. His spirit, which is alive in me, brings me back to the heart of worship. Our lives are not about our selfish wants of this broken world, but absolutely about our eternal life with the one and only Lord and Savior.

Too often we make this life about us. I’m sorry, Lord, for making it about me, when it’s all about you Jesus. You are the King of Kings, the Prince of Peace, the only one who sits on a throne, the only one who judges, the Holy Spirit of endless love. I am poor, weak and broken without you. I am nothing without you. I have nothing without you. Every breath I take belongs to you and your plan for my life! It is your will, your way, always with no exceptions. There is no life beyond you. There is no life without you.

When I return to the heart of workship, Jesus whispers “Follow me!”Silhouette of Jesus He holds nothing bad for our lives Jeremiah 1:5.  A changed heart is a changed life. Jesus, I am no longer holding back. I no longer look back with regret! I am a desert thirsty for you more and more every day of my life. As I get back to my heart of worship, you make my life more and more beautiful. Your love sets me free from things of this world that hold no meaning for the eternal life I am going to have with You one day.

Every one of us has been given the choice to return to the heart of worship. You too have the choice to turn your backs or decide to no longer hold back and seek Him with all of your might. I believe deeply that God is not the author of our pain and suffering but just the opposite. God is the author of all that is good in our lives.

How do I show this broken world what most have never seen or felt in their souls? the great commissionHow do I show the world that we are here to show mankind our rightful position in this life? Break me, remold me, and use me for your glory. Or am I already demonstrating to the world through my actions how different my life is today since I’ve been seeking and accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior? My light shines because there is a fire inside of me for Christ. My heart is His. Holy WeekI have freely laid down my fragile dreams before Him, and picked up my cross regardless of the risk because I trust His promise. “I trust Jesus, I trust Jesus, I trust Jesus!”

It’s undeniable that He’s very much alive in me because of my heart of worship, because of my faith. I’ve braved many storms that I thought I would never survive, but today my light shines because it’s through His grace and mercy that He leads me in all that I do. Do you want to feel it too? It is my prayer that every soul reading my blogs will become inspired and curious to dabble in what I’ve experienced, because you too can seek and you will find that He is already alive in you too!

He’s simply waiting patiently on your heart of worship!jesus arms raised 1
